Sophic’s Growth Strategy

Sophic Systems Alliance, Inc. is building a world class biomedical and scientific consulting team in Washington DC and Northern NJ. Our company is very competitive in the Federal Market because of our continued success in ongoing projects at the National Cancer Institute (NCI) including:

  • Over the past 3 years, we have been the integrator for the NCI Cancer Gene Curation Project producing an automated and manually annotated index of all cancer genes, the relationship between each gene and the specific type of cancer, and the cancer gene’s relationship with compounds, drugs and treatments.
  • We recently won a project with The Cancer Gene Atlas Project (TCGA) to use automated and manual annotation to find abnormalities, mutations and metastasis processes for brain, ovarian and lung cancer genes.
  • We have licensed the Biomax Knowledge Management System to the Center for Cancer Research (NCI CCR) where we are implementing systems in labs focused on brain, ovarian, liver, Neuroblastoma, Osteosarcoma and radiation oncology.
  • Sophic is also a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB).

Our commercial customers include Sanofi-Pasteur, Serono, Syngenta, and Sanofi-Aventis. Recently we licensed BioXM to Hackensack University Medical Center (HUMC) where we will configure and implement systems to support biomarker discovery as well as support other biomedical areas in the Cancer Center. Our forecast for new pharmaceutical accounts is strong and we are staffing now to support configuration, training and implementations for our customers.

We are interviewing team players with a combination of life science and informatics experience who enjoy diversified challenges in complex disease research and all types of life science projects. Our consultants “configure” these powerful and flexible systems to meet the customer’s research and biomedical requirements. (These are not programming positions.) U.S. Citizenship or permanent residence visa required. If you have an entrepreneurial spirit, the motivation to work hard, grow, learn and enjoy competitive compensation and benefits, see if you meet the qualifications of the positions listed below - and call or email Sophic to schedule a meeting to discuss our career opportunities.
